Good luck to our Junior Black Belts Ondrej Venter, Brodie Sciberras, Paul Otago, Emily O'Sullivan, Chantelle Wallace andGarrick Blinman, this weekend (3rd June) at the Australian Junior Team Selection in Melbourne.
You have all trained hard and we know you will give it your best, win or loose you are already champions in the eyes of the academy.
Cherie Russell, who is also part of the team will not be able to compete, due to unfortunate circumstances. Our hearts go out to you Cherie as we know how much you have been preparing for this competition.
ATI Tournament Results
We had 18 competitors participate in the ATI Championships on the 26th of May in 14 separate divisions, the fighter were excited and ready to show Mr Rawlins what they could do out there on the mats.
When the day was over the academy walked away with 12 Gold medals and 2 Silvers, we lost only two division, it only goes to show what a great job the Instructors are doing at the centres as well as how hard the students are training.
Next time let's make it 100%, the winners were:

Congradulations to Brodie Sciberras on winning gold at the Victorian Winter competition Black belt male 14-17yrs +48-51kg and Chantelle Wallace on winning a silver in the Black Belt female 14-17yrs +49-52kg on the 13th of May in Melbourne.

Well done to Sherri Russell for achieving her 1st Dan Black Belt at grading today.
The policy in the Rawlins Academy is after you pass you black belt grading, you do another year of helping out at various clubs and meeting the different criteria set down by the Academy, before you are awarded your 1st dan black belt.
